NGIoT webinars

ngiot-webinarsA series of webinars will be organized to promote important NGIoT topics as a way of engaging the research community and industry to share their views on the evolution and challenges ahead in the domains being addressed.

The expected duration of the webinars is 30 minutes making it easy to fit them into busy schedules of the target communities. The webinars will be given by known experts in the field, including NGIoT Strategy Board members.

The first webinar will take place in by the end of 2019, while others will follow quarterly. All webinars will be available on the project web site as well as on YouTube and SlideShare. The following topics are planned to be addressed:

  • IoT security,
  • privacy and data protection,
  • LP-WAN,
  • 5G and IoT,
  • blockchain and IoT.

In addition to the webinars, a series of short lectures will be prepared to explain important research topics and challenges. While webinars are targeting researchers and professionals, the lectures will target the general public. The expected duration of the lectures is 10-15 minutes and will aim to explain the topic in simple, easy to understand terms, highlighting how the addressed topic can influence and change the everyday life of people. The following topics are planned to be addressed: digital signatures for marketplaces, IoT for smart cities and communities, next-generation Internet – research priorities, IoT market trends, and business models. The lectures will be done in the period from end 2019 to end 2020, Similar to webinars, all lectures will be available on the project web site as well as on YouTube and SlideShare.
